The h/p/cosmos robowalk is a rubber cable pull system for h/p/cosmos treadmills. The patient's legs are attached to the rubber cable pulls via cuffs. These give motion support or resistance during gait motion.

Especially the motion support that is given by the rubber cable pulls / expanders is a valuable help for patient and therapist to carry out the exercises longer and more physiologic and thereby to get better training results. By the vertical or horizontal adjustment respectively of the angle of action of the support / resistance motion correction is possible. Vertical and horizontal adjustment is very fast and simple. Scales give reproducibility of the adjustments. The patented tension adjustment module consists of continuously variable rubber cable pulls with scales for load display.

 

Examples of use:

Motion support, mobilization, locomotion, gait training and gait correction for orthopaedic or neurological problems, coordination and functional training, strength and endurance training.

 

robowalk …. the "servo steering" in locomotion therapy.

 

Front system for installation on h/p/cosmos unweighting system airwalk ap. The treadmill, accessories and the rear system have to be ordered separately!

Also the h/p/cosmos arm support and the reverse belt rotation are strongly recommended as useful system configuration.

Compatibility to other h/p/cosmos treadmill models on request. When ordering please specify the serial number of the treadmill. The system is not compatible to treadmills from other manufacturers.

Warnings!

A safety system to prevent from falling must be used when using the h/p/cosmos robowalk expander. We recommend the h/p/cosmos safety arch with chest belt, rope and automatic stop of the treadmill or an unweighting system that prevents from falling. The exercise permanently has to be supervised by a physiotherapist or a medical doctor in the field of orthopaedics and/or neurology. Cables and cuffs must not be used for the patient's hands, but for the legs only. Disregard of warnings and/or the use of the h/p/cosmos robowalk expander without a fall protection system is strictly prohibited and may lead to accidents and injuries with fatal consequences.

 

Replace expanders every 36 months or earlier at the first sign of wear.
